Arranged Marriage is a Pure Shape of Marriage

The girl was blushing. She appeared awkward and embarrassed. Eyes downcast, hands making patterns on the table-cloth, she sat flanked by a posse of heavily decked women.

The scene is repeated umpteen times in towns and cities in India every day. The tradition of parents contacting the relatives, family priests and friends to find a suitable match for a boy or girl is alive and kicking. The institution of arranged marriage through word of mouth is how Indians prefer to match their progeny.

The old Pandit ji go between is losing space to the matrimonial sites providing easy service to parents for a bride or groom hunting. People are increasingly using a matrimonial site to save time and energy required in search   of the right match. These portals fill up the space being slowly vacated by the crumbling tradition of arranged marriage procedure.

Once you're ‘Featured on the app' your profile becomes instantly visible to all your matches as per your partner preference. Allowing all the interested matches to respond to you with an Expression of interest. Since ‘Featured profile' and ‘Expression of interest' both expire in a week. A time line of a week to show interest before the visible profile disappears is remarkable. This gives boost to quick action.   It is an improvement on the other matrimonial portals where expressed interest may take a long time and the expected result may never materialise.
